Louisa Matheson
President
Louisa joined the McMaster Figure Skating Development Team in 2022 but has been skating since she was 10 years old! She is a CanSkate Certified coach as well as a trained Regional level figure skating coach. She is currently in her 3rd year of the Radiography specialization of the Medical Radiation Sciences program. A fun fact about Louisa is that when she’s not in Hamilton for school, she lives on a farm!
Amy Gingrich

Amy joined the McMaster Figure Skating Development Team in 2021, but has been skating since she was 2 years old! She is also a CanSkate Certified learn-to-skate coach and has passed her Skate Canada Gold test in skills. She is currently in her 4th year of Chemical Biology. A fun fact about Amy is that she loves to ski!
Caitlyn Humber
Co-Captain
Caitlyn joined the McMaster Figure Skating Development Team in 2021 but has been skating since she was 3 years old! She is currently in her 4th year of Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour (BSc). A fun fact about Caitlyn is that she spends her summers working at a summer camp in Muskoka!

Sydney joined the McMaster Figure Skating Development Team in 2022 but has been skating since she was 7 years old! She is also a CanSkate Certified learn-to-skate coach. She is currently in her 3rd year of Social Psychology. A fun fact about Sydney is that she loves watching movies!
Jana joined the McMaster Figure Skating Development Team in 2023. She’s been skating for a year now and doesn't plan on stopping any time soon! She is currently in her 4th year of Commerce. A fun fact about Jana is that she loves to swim!
Sienna Reichsteiner
Senior Executive - Finance and Carpools
Sienna joined the McMaster Figure Skating Development Team in 2022. She has been skating since she was 5 years old and has passed her Skate Canada Gold tests in Skills, Freeskate, Interpretive and Dance as well as some Diamond Dances! She is also a CanSkate Certified learn-to-skate coach. She is currently in her 3rd year of Mechatronics Engineering. A fun fact about Sienna is that she loves to sing!
Chris Liu

Chris joined the McMaster Figure Skating Development Team in 2024. He started learning figure skating after joining the team, having only some experience before. He is currently in his 2nd year of Honours Life Sciences. A fun fact about Chris is that he likes to stay active and has climbed Mount Fuji.
Allison Theriault
Junior Executive - Finance and Carpools
Allison joined the McMaster Figure Skating Development Team in 2024. She has been skating since she was 7 years old and has passed all of her Skate Canada Gold tests. She is in 2nd year studying Engineering Physics. A fun fact about Allison is that she enjoys knitting and crocheting!
Yva Rasco

Yva joined the McMaster Figure Skating Development Team in 2022, and while she learned to skate as a kid, she only picked up figure skating after joining the team! She is currently in her 3rd year of Chemical Biology. A fun fact about Yva is that she likes to take photos and watch animated movies.
Kia Rahm

Kia joined the McMaster Figure Skating Development team in 2023 and has been figure skating since she was 8 years old. She is currently in her 4th year of Honours Life Sciences with a minor in sustainability. A fun fact about Kia is that she drives a Kia Forte.

Marisa joined the McMaster Figure Skating Development Team in 2022 but has been skating since she was 10 years old! She is currently in her 4rd year of Arts and Science & iArts. A fun fact about Marisa is that she started skating in Hong Kong, where most rinks are in big shopping malls!
Abby joined the McMaster Figure Skating Development Team in 2023. She started skating at 5 years old! She is currently in her second year of Integrated Business and Humanities. A fun fact about Abby is that she plays guitar.
Joanna joined the McMaster Figure Skating Development team in 2023. She learned to skate as a kid and began figure skating after joining the team. She is currently in her 2nd year of Health Sciences. A fun fact about Joanna is that she likes to bake!

Ty Lickers-Smith
Vicki Newman
​Ty has been coaching for 28 years and specializes in choreography and synchronized skating. She has been coaching the McMaster Figure Skating Development Synchro Team “Epic Edge” for 2 seasons and will continue to coach them for the 2023-2024 season. A fun fact about Ty is she has her Masters in Education, loves all things Disney and is a successful cookie artist!
Vicki will be coaching Freeskate C!
Alex Brown
Alex has been a figure skater since 2004, has been coaching since 2014, and is a regional certified coach! This is her first year coaching with the McMaster Figure Skating Development Team. She is looking forward to building strong mentoring relationships with her skaters and hopes to share her love of the sport with them on our Freeskate Silver session this year! A fun fact about Alex is she used to skate with the McMaster Figure Skating Development Team, and was even the captain for two years!
Kate Law
Kate started skating in 2006, and has been a certified CanSkate coach since 2019! Kate will soon have her regional coach in-training status as of September 2023. At other clubs she has taught Pre-Can and CanSkate, as well as Adult Learn to Skate, and a pre-STARSkate program called IntroStar. This year Kate will be coaching on our Adult Learn to Skate Session! A fun fact about Kate is she volunteered at 1 national championship, and 2 international competitions!
